* GURDON, ARKANSAS * This pretty lady is called Sapphire. I believe she is a Staffordshire Terrier and Lab mix. She came here after she apparently had a litter of puppies near the Gurdon High School. I believe she lost them in a storm drain. She seemed so lost and forlorn when she was first caught. We looked for her babies, including the storm drain she had been seen going in and out of, but no babies were found. It had rained very hard the night before, and I have to assume they must have drowned. She is a very gentle and wonderful girl and has tons of love to give.
